John Hugh McCracken and Augusta Jane Crossland
Some years after Martha's death John married a second time. His new wife had come to teach at the Colton School after she was divorced from her first husband. She had a young son, Eric, from that marriage whom she left with her mother and sisters while she went out to work. John adopted Eric who came to live on the farm after John and Augusta's marriage. They married in 1905 and had 2 more children;
