JOHN McCRACKEN & MARTHA formerly FOSTER nee BROWN

John H. McCracken aged 27 years, single, son of Samuel McCracken married 13th January 1874 to Martha Kennedy Foster (nee Brown), aged 24 years, widow with 2 children Lawrence, daughter of John Brown at residence of William Sharp (Brother inlaw) in Adelaide.

By March 1875 when John and Martha's first child*, Eliza Ellen, was born they were again living in the district at Streaky Bay. They went on to have another 10 children, and it was following the birth of the last little girl that Martha died in 1894.
